Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this K-Source replacement side mirror. This is gonna be a direct replacement for the driver side factory mirror on your 2009 through 2012 Toyota RAV4. This is modeled after the RAV4's original look and fit, so you really shouldn't be able to tell that it's a replacement mirror. It should look like it came with your RAV4 right from the factory, so you don't have to worry about that piece together from the junkyard sort of look, hodgepodge put-together. This is going to look fully integrated with your RAV4, and it is gonna be very easy to get installed.
It's got the same footprint and mounting points as the factory mirror, so you're not gonna have to drill new holes or anything like that. The mirror will plug into the existing electrical wiring, and that's gonna give you the power remote capability, so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls in your vehicle. This is an OE grade product, so it's going to have high quality construction and components. The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome, so it is going to give you a nice, clear image. It is a flat lens like most driver's side mirrors, so it's gonna give you a true representation of the object size behind you.
So, if you're getting ready to change lanes, make sure that no one's in the lane next to you, or as you're backing up, make sure that the pathway's gonna be clear. This does have a breakaway design, so the mirror will fold in on itself if you we're to hit the side of your garage or a parking post or something like that. It's going to fold in to help absorb some of that impact and to deter breakage. But, it does have a durable plastic housing with this black finish, and so it is going to hold up well for you. For those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is going to work for you, you can see that part number on the screen there.
This is gonna be the replacement for that original equipment number. So, if you see that number in your owner's manual, or on the original mirror, if you see that anywhere, you can trust this is gonna be exactly what you need.
